Do cosmetic injectables hurt?The injections themselves feel like a slight pressure or stinging sensation, however each individual has a different pain threshold. At Enhanced by Darcie we have different measures to help with pain such as a topical local anaesthetic or a pain blocker.

Can I eat and drink after lip filler?Yes, you can eat and drink after lip filler. It may feel a little strange as there is swelling present. It is also advised to avoid any foods that are too hot in temperature until the numbing effect has worn off, to avoid burning yourself.

Does dermal filler cause the skin to sag?No, dermal filler does not cause the skin to sag. Although initially the skin does stretch slightly, it does not have a long-lasting effect on the skin. Your skin will return to its original state when the product metabolises.

I have been thinking about cosmetic injectables, but don’t want to look over done. Can this be achieved?Yes, with the correct dosing and placement of product, cosmetic injectables will look natural and subtle. It is important to consult with your clinician prior to any treatment to establish realistic outcomes and create a treatment plan tailored to you.

Can I have treatment while pregnant?At Enhanced by Darcie, we do not treat anyone that is pregnant, breastfeeding or planning to become pregnant in the next 6 months with cosmetic injectables.

As a male, can I get cosmetic injectables too?Absolutely, cosmetic injectables are for males and females and are a great way to help with anti-aging.

How long does dermal filler last?Depending on the thickness of the dermal filler used, amount and where it is used varies with each treatment. Thicker fillers generally last longer, 12 - 18 months and thinner filler lasts between 6 - 12 months.

How long does fat dissolving injections take?The initial consultation is 15 minutes and then 30 minutes is allocated for the treatment. 2 - 3 treatments are required for best results, these treatments are generally 4 - 6 weeks apart

What is the downtime for fat dissolving?Post fat dissolving, you can expect to have swelling and bruising for up to 2 weeks. Like all cosmetic injectables, it is advised to not perform any strenuous exercise up to 24 hours post treatment, avoid any extreme heat and to avoid skin care or make up to the treated area for 24 hours after treatment.

How long does anti-wrinkle last?Anti-wrinkle treatments are not permanent and generally last between 3-4 months. However, each individual outcome varies, and some people can get up to 6 months out of the treatment, and some 2 months.

When do I see the results of my cosmetic injectable treatment?After having anti-wrinkle treatment, results can start to be noticeable at 5 - 7 days, with the full results being seen at the 2 week mark. Dermal filler treatment results are noticeable instantly, but initially there can be swelling and bruising. It is advised to wait 2 - 4 weeks for the filler to fully integrate into the tissue.
